The skincare market has always had considerable untapped consumer demand. After all, everyone has a natural desire to be beautiful, and our passion for beauty and pursuit of perfection are reflected in our preference for skincare products. At this point, choosing the right cosmetic OEM manufacturer becomes critically important. In practice, you can evaluate potential manufacturers based on several key factors. Just as with food, there’s also the principle of ingredient compatibility—or rather, ingredient incompatibility—in skincare product customization. Cosmetic formulations contain numerous chemical ingredients, each with its own unique composition. Different cosmetic ingredients may interact in ways that are incompatible, potentially harming the user’s health.
First, it’s important to note that certain combinations of products with different chemical compositions must never be used simultaneously. For example, products with significantly different pH levels should not be mixed; AHA-based exfoliating products should not be combined with gel or mask-type formulations, as their effects would cancel each other out. Cosmetics containing salicylic acid, ethanol, and vitamin A derivatives should also not be layered on top of one another, as this could lead to over-cleansing and weaken the stratum corneum.
Second, it’s best not to mix cosmetics from different regions arbitrarily. For example, cosmetics from Europe and the U.S. versus those from Japan and Korea—cosmetics from these two different regions often have different skincare routines, and their product effects may even overlap.
Again, when selecting cosmetics, avoid buying and using two products with similar functions at the same time—for example, with whitening products, you only need to use one. If you use two whitening products from OEM manufacturers simultaneously, it could overburden your skin and potentially cause symptoms such as allergies.
