Galanz (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Galanz Group) is a leading Chinese cosmetics group that integrates research and development, production, sales, and service, focusing on the cosmetics, personal care products, and beauty-functional food industries. The company boasts a wide range of well-known brands, including Meisu, Naturie, Chunxia, and Perfu.
Xixi Ai and Galan began their collaboration in 2019. Sharing the same values and both dedicated to the cause of beauty, Xixi Ai has consistently regarded Galan as one of its key partners since the very beginning of their business relationship. During the pandemic, Xixi Ai likewise prioritized the production of epidemic prevention supplies.
The COVID-19 pandemic was undoubtedly the most significant and far-reaching event of 2020 worldwide. However, according to statistics, China's total retail sales of cosmetics in 2020 increased by more than 5% compared to 2019. Starting from April—except for the period from January to March—sales began to recover and have since maintained a steady positive growth trend. Moreover, the year-on-year growth rate of cosmetic sales far exceeded that of total merchandise sales. After enduring the hardships brought on by the pandemic, the cosmetics industry has achieved a rapid recovery, with market sales showing a remarkable increase. Even the pandemic could not dampen people's desire to look beautiful. Currently, the collaboration between Gala and Cici Air primarily focuses on sunscreen products. A distinctive feature of sunscreen products is their pronounced seasonal demand: production typically begins at the start of the year, while sales peak around mid-year.
Due to the impact of the pandemic, the peak season for sunscreen production has become the period most severely affected by production capacity constraints. From applying to relevant authorities for partial resumption of work to fully resuming operations, and from labor shortages to transportation difficulties, the path to resuming work has been fraught with challenges. However, in order to support Jialan’s business and to realize our shared vision of “Beauty + Public Welfare,” under the leadership of General Manager Shu Tong, Xixiaier, with full support from departments including production, technology, and quality, has actively coordinated externally with customers and internally boosted output, doing its utmost to meet Jialan’s needs and ensuring a stable supply of products during the sunscreen season.
As a leading enterprise in China’s cosmetics industry, Galan has suppliers all across the country. Every year, these suppliers make tremendous efforts to support Galan’s growth. At the end of each year, Galan selects suppliers that have demonstrated outstanding performance in various aspects. “Under the same blue sky, we share the same aspirations.” As a newly appointed supplier to Galan, Xixi Ai also lived up to Galan’s trust even during the most challenging times. The “Outstanding Contribution Award for the Pandemic,” presented by Galan to Xixi Ai this time, marks the first-ever recognition Galan has given to Xixi Ai—a testament to Xixi Ai’s dedication and an impeccable summary of the past year’s collaboration between the two parties. Moreover, it serves as a fresh starting point for our continued cooperation in the future.
